Brookshire's prices are outrageous due to most of their stores being in small towns without much competition. Rarely shopped here due to service lacking and atrocious prices. Brookshire used to be a social scene due to the other option being Walmart, but Walmart is a lot better on a lot of levels and there is absolutely no comparison between Brookshire and Kroger. Brookshire wants you to think that they are some local, small town grocer, but they are not and they are just price gouging due to lack of competition in their markets. Fresh Food.
